Next, we visited Liberty Square which is flanked by the National Theater to the north, the National Concert Hall to the south, and the Freedom Square Memorial Arch to the west. These structures are impressive enough on their own, but the main reason you come here. is to see Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall (中正紀念堂) which was erected in memory of the former. president of the Republic of China.
Sun and Moon Lake is the only natural lakes where located in the central of Taiwan.

Shifen railway station
There is a fairy tale that the practice of lighting off sky lanterns in Taiwan began in Shifen, when during the raids from bandits. Once the bandits had left, the remaining villagers sent sky lanterns into the air to let the felling villagers know that it was safe to come down from the mountains.
